Monica Moment is an artist hailing from Miami, Florida, but who now calls Music City her home. Sonically, she draws influences from The White Stripes, Lady Gaga, and Lana Del Rey. Since stepping into the Nashville scene in 2019, Monica has made a name for herself as a singer-songwriter. From playing beloved venues such as The Basement, to landing placements in playlists with thousands of engaged listeners, to glowing reviews of her music in the indie blogosphere, people have taken note of her lyrical prowess and her infectious alt-pop melodies.
Last year, Monica began rolling out the release of her debut EP Night School. Night School documents this journey from the perspective of a wide-eyed girl setting out into the world on her own for the first time, and finding out that people aren’t all that they seem. Night School explores the juxtaposition of Monica's tender heart colliding with difficult truths about love and friendship, and what emerges on the other side: a wiser woman who isn’t so terrified to use her voice anymore.
